Work is due to get underway to transform and expand the gorilla enclosure at Bristol Zoo. It will include new dens, better climbing ropes and even an indoor pool. It will also have a glass entrance lobby so visitors can see what's going on more easily.
Spring is in the air at Paignton Zoo. A baby animal has been born there for the third time in a month. After the giraffes and the tapirs welcomed newborns, now the zebras have got in on the act. It's the first time one of them has been born there in 10 years.
A new baby zebra is the latest animal to be born at Paignton Zoo. The little fellow arrived on Tuesday and is the third new baby to arrive in the past month following a baby giraffe and a baby tapir. Staff say mum Goma is looking after him well and he's already on show to the Zoo's visitors.
