Sainsbury's has revealed plans for a multi-million redevelopment of the land around its store at Green Park in Bath. The £160 million scheme would include a doubling in size of the existing supermarket, while creating offices and shops and building 270 new homes.
Green Park Station would remain but be given a makeover. The scheme depends on Sainsbury's striking a deal with Homebase for the DIY firm to move elsewhere in the city. The company aims to submit a planning application in the autumn but the new supermarket wouldn't open until at least 2015.
