Costa Coffee planning row to go to public inquiry

The future of three branches of Costa Coffee in Bristol will be decided by a public inquiry.

Bristol City Council believes all three breached planning rules. The outlets on Gloucester Road, Whiteladies Road and Westbury Hill faced opposition from residents when they opened.

The branches are all owned by the same person. The inquiry will take place over two days and a result is expected in six weeks.
