Latest statement from Wiltshire Police

We can now confirm that this was the body of a white woman, who at the time of her death was aged at least 40. We think we know who the woman is and are currently in the process of tracing her next of kin.

We...are keeping an open mind as to the circumstances leading to this woman’s death.

We have already received information from a couple who walked through Sainsbury’s car park at approximately 02:11 am and the driver of a car that drove through the car park at 02:27 am that morning.

– Detective Inspector Matt Davey, Wiltshire Police

The Police are still appealing for anyone who was in the Sainsbury’s Car Park between 1.30am and 3am that morning. Earlier, they released two CCTV images of people they would like to speak to.

Today we are releasing two CCTV images. The first is an image of a man who walked through the car park with a pedal cycle at 01:54 am. We would appeal to that man or persons that may be able to assist with his identity to get in touch with us.

The second image is that of a car. We are appealing to the driver or occupants of a small dark coloured hatchback car seen driving through the car park in the direction of McDonalds at 02:48 am that morning.

We believe that this man and the occupants of that vehicle may have relevant information that would assist our enquiries.
