Weston-super-Mare train fears: council to write to Government
Councillors in North Somerset are worried that Weston-super-Mare could lose its direct rail service to London.
New express trains are due to start operating when the main line is electrified in 2016. But they'll only go as far as Bristol, meaning passengers to and from Weston will have to change trains. The council is writing to the Government saying this could deter businesses and commuters.
