Gloucestershire rower Peter Reed to be honoured in home-town
The Olympic rowing champion Peter Reed, who won gold at the London 2012 Games, will be honoured in his home-town in Gloucestershire on the 15th of September.
Reed raced in the crew of the men's coxless four event, successfully retaining the title he first won in Beijing four years ago.
A civic reception in Stroud and an open-top bus tour through Nailsworth, where he grew up, is being planned to celebrate his the 31-year-old's success.
