Cheltenham Town were the West's only winners on the opening day of the Football League season.
Goals on either side of half-time were enough to secure the three points for Mark Yates' men.
The visitors had the best chances of the first half, but it was the home side who went into the break 1-0 up.
In stoppage time, Sam Deering's cross found Shaun Harrad in the area, and the loan striker smashed a shot into the bottom corner of the net.
Four minutes into the second half, Cheltenham doubled their lead. Jermaine McGlashan unleashed a 25 yard strike which flew past goalkeeper Chris Lewington.
Yeovil Town won for a club record 8th time in a row. Bristol Rovers also won, Cheltenham drew and Bristol City lost in the Severnside derby.
There were wins today for both Bristol clubs and Yeovil Town. Swindon Town could only draw and Cheltenham Town slipped to defeat.
Bath have beaten West Country rivals Gloucester 32 - 5 in the LV= Cup.
