Olympic rowing champion Peter Reed has expressed his joy at the welcome he has received from his home town.
The gold medallist met fans who had lined the streets of Nailsworth to see him. He was honoured with a civic reception in his home town in recognition of his achievements.
This tops off a wonderful summer. Most of the recognition has been for the team, so to have this turn-out just for me is something special. I'm delighted to share my medal with everyone.
