More than a hundred Territorial Army soldiers from across the south west are in Germany at the moment for two weeks intensive training.
Many of them are expecting to be deployed to Afghanistan next year.
They already know they're going to bear a bigger burden of Britain's defence as their regular army colleagues face huge cuts.
