Bath have beaten West Country rivals Exeter Chiefs at the Rec this afternoon.
Ben Williams put the first points on the board for the home side with a try after just three minutes. And ten minutes later Kyle Eastmond made it 12-0.
The Chiefs got back into the game when Brett Sturgess crossed the line to make it 15-5 at the turnaround.
Bath went further ahead in the second half through Francois Lowe, but they were soon down to 14 men when Dan Hipkiss was sent off and the Chiefs piled on the pressure.
Ignacio Mieres's try set up a tense finale, but Stephen Donald's 79th-minute penalty secured the win for Bath.
Yeovil Town won for a club record 8th time in a row. Bristol Rovers also won, Cheltenham drew and Bristol City lost in the Severnside derby.
There were wins today for both Bristol clubs and Yeovil Town. Swindon Town could only draw and Cheltenham Town slipped to defeat.
