Six garage break-ins on single night in Gloucester

Six garages have been broken into on a single night in Gloucester.

Police in the city are urging homeowners to review their garage security after the burglaries which happened overnight between late on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday.

Ping golf clubs, a lawnmower and five bottles of champagne were taken from a garage in Clover Piece in Abbeymead.

A mountain bike was taken from an address in Blake Hill Way, keys from a garage in Silver Close in Tuffley and two bikes from a garage in Temple Close in Barnwood.

There were also break-ins in The Oval and St Michael’s Square.

Officers are now stressing the need for residents to make sure that their property is locked if they want to guard against becoming a victim.
