Bristol postal workers voted for strike
Postal workers at the Royal Mail delivery depot in Mead Street have voted by over 80% to take strike action.The ballot result was 51 "Yes" votes with 12 against industrial action
Strike action must be held within a four week period so will hit the Christmas mail, if a joint resolution between Royal Mail and the Communication Workers Union is not reached.
– CWU Bristol Area Official David WilshireThis result shows that our members have overwhelmingly rejected the heavy handed approach of Royal Mail at this depot. The company now needs to appreciate how serious the situation is and stop burying their heads in the sand".
