Hunt for Wiltshire publican after Christmas cash goes missing
Police in Wiltshire are searching for a pub landlord following the disappearance of up to £30,000 from a Christmas thrift fund. Malcolm Levesconte, 59, hasn't been seen at the Royal Oak in Shrewton near Amesbury since the weekend.
Detectives say a substantial amount of cash has gone missing from the pub. It was accumulating in a Christmas fund which regulars paid into every month in anticpation of having some money to spend over the festive period.
Police are aware that Mr Levesconte booked tickets and boarded a ferry at Portsmouth on Sunday December 9th bound for St Malo in France.
