Pub landlord and Christmas money go missing

Sixty customers at a pub in Wiltshire have lost nearly £30,000 from their Christmas savings club.

Detectives are investigating after the landlord of the Royal Oak in Shrewton disappeared several days ago. Malcolm Levesconte is believed to have caught a ferry to France.

An emergency meeting has been held in the village this afternoon.
