30 flood warnings in place as flooding causes disruption
30 flood warnings are still in place across the South West as flooding continues to cause travel disruption.
On the roads:
- One lane is closed on the M5 southbound in Gloucestershire.
- The A361 Main Road in Burrowbridge in Somerset is closed
- The A391 in Bilbrook in Somerset is closed
On the trains:
- Delays of up to 30 minutes on First Great Western services between Bristol Parkway and Gloucester.
Family stranded in holiday cottage over Christmas
A family from Melksham on holiday in Gloucestershire over Christmas had to be rescued from their cottage after being marooned by the floods.
Tyntesfield closed due to flooding
Tyntesfield Estate in North Somerset has been forced to close after the visitor centre was flooded.
RNLI on stand by to help those hit by bad weather
RNLI volunteers are on stand by as the region braces itself for more rain. Winds of up to 70mph are also expected.
