Flooding: no let up in sight
The wet and stormy weather shows no sign of letting up. More heavy downpours are forecast for this weekend, marking an end to the wettest year in England since records began. There is a severe weather warning in place from tomorrow evening until Monday.

A family from Melksham on holiday in Gloucestershire over Christmas had to be rescued from their cottage after being marooned by the floods.
Tyntesfield closed due to flooding
Tyntesfield Estate in North Somerset has been forced to close after the visitor centre was flooded.
