Woman dies in Cirencester crash

A woman has died after a crash on the A419 in Cirencester.

The incident happened at just after 11am yesterday. Two vehicles, a blue Citroen Saxo and a grey Citroen Berlingo collided on the Stroud Road, close to the Agricultural College.

The driver of the Saxo, a 50-year-old woman from Cirencester died following the collision.

The driver of the Belingo, a 55-year-old man from Stroud was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with minor injuries and his passenger was taken to Cirencester Hospital also with minor injuries.

The road was closed for approximately four hours whilst an investigation took place.
