Two men were arrested after armed police fired shots at a car in Gloucester. Police were investigating a suspected robbery at a local business in the Painswick Road area of the city.
A Gloucestershire police spokesman said:
Armed officers were deployed and shots were fired at a car in Painswick Road, because of a perceived threat to public safety. Armed officers who were in attendance, discharged a firearm to disable a vehicle. No-one was harmed.
Two men were arrested. They are aged 28 and 33, and are from Gloucester.
