British bobsleigh pilot Paula Walker saw a crash deny her a first ever podium World Cup finish.
Walker, from Trowbridge, and brakewoman Gillian Cooke appeared well placed to finish in the top three after an excellent opening run of 58.53 seconds in Altenberg, Germany.
But it went disastrously wrong in the second run. The girls took the penultimate bend too high, and their sled overturned. It continued to cross the line upside-down.
The pair were uninjured, but the crash left them in 13th position.
