The Chief Consable of Avon and Somerset is mounting a legal challenge over his forthcoming departure. Colin Port's contract, which expires at the end of the month, has not been renewed by the newly-elected Police and Crime Commissioner, Sue Mountstevens.
He's asking a High Court judge for six months' notice and a delay in appointing his successor. Bob Constantine reports.
