Former Rovers boss named as Strachan's assistant

Mark McGhee has been appointed as assistant to Scotland manager Gordon Strachan.

The pair have been close friends since playing together for Aberdeen in the early 1980s and McGhee was available after being sacked as Bristol Rovers manager last month.
