Richard O'Kelly appointed first team coach at Bristol City

Richard O'Kelly has been appointed as first team coach at Bristol City.

56 year old O'Kelly has worked with City's head coach Sean O'Driscoll in the past. He was O'Driscoll's number two at Bournemouth and Doncaster Rovers when both sides achieved promotion.

He joins City from League One side Walsall.

Richard is an excellent coach whose opinion I respect and has the sort of character that every football club needs.

He will bring enthusiasm and positivity to everything he does and I'm delighted he has joined me as I know it was a tough decision to leave Walsall, where he was achieving great success on a limited budget.

– Sean O'Driscoll, Bristol City Head Coach
