Plans to get rid of Bristol PCSOs scrapped

Plans to get rid of dozens of Police Community Support Officers serving Bristol have been scrapped. It follows a deal between the mayor and the Police and Crime Commissioner to share their cost.

Mayor George Ferguson was criticised for his proposal to reduce PCSO numbers by thirty and save the taxpayers half a million pounds. He's denied a U-turn, saying instead he's listened to advice.
