Bath Rugby's England international hooker Lee Mears announced yesterday that he has been forced to retire because of a heart problem.
The 33-year-old, who also represented the British Lions, was advised to stop playing after an abnormality showed up on a cardiac screening.
He spent 16 years with Bath, playing 268 games and made 42 appearances for England.
