Residents urged not to pour fat down sinks
South West Water is asking people not to pour fat and food waste down the sink, in a bid stop sewage blockages.
Every year the company spends around one and a half million pounds on clearing cooking fat from our sewerage system - that's enough fat to fill 21 double decker buses.
South West water says we should all be dry-wiping our greasy pans and crockery before washing them in the sink or dishwasher.
