The Ministry of Defence has announced a huge boost to Wiltshire's economy today as it confirmed that thousands of troops returning from Germany would be based in the county.
An extra three thousand will be moved to the county, together with their families. They're due to arrive over the next six years. It will make Salisbury Plain the biggest of seven UK army bases.
