A young boy has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by an ambulance on its way to an emergency call in the centre of Bath. The accident happened at 4 o'clock on the London Road at Snow Hill.
The ambulance crew gave first aid to the boy at the scene and then took him to the Royal United Hospital. Police officers who were following the ambulance witnessed the incident. The ambulance was responding to a call about a car fire.
