In the Premiership, Gloucester narrowly beat bottom-of-the-table London Welsh 15-14. All the points came from the boot of Freddie Burns - the winning kick was converted six minutes from time.

In the Championship, Bristol left it late to beat Jersey 29-23 in Andy Robinson's first game in charge. Adrian Jarvis scored 24 of Bristol's points, including one try. Fautua Otto also crossed the line in the second half as Robinson's men came from behind to win the match.
