A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 45-year-old woman in Amesbury, Wiltshire.
James Roy Simister, 49 of Maple Way, Amesbury was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Tuesday 30th April.
Officers were called to a house in Maple Way on Monday evening and found the woman with serious injuries. She sustained stab wounds to her neck and later died in hospital.
Formal identification of the victim has not yet been completed.
