Police increase patrols in Swindon after burglary rise

Wiltshire Police are increasing patrols in Swindon town centre to combat a recent rise in burglaries in the area.

They're urging homeowners to make sure they secure their homes, sheds and garages.

There have been a number of reported dwelling burglaries, garage breaks and shed breaks around the town centre in recent weeks, particularly in the Manchester Road and County Road area.

Because of this, Wiltshire Police will be increasing patrols in the location in an attempt to locate the persons responsible.

We ask that local residents keep their doors and windows, garages, sheds and vehicles secure to help prevent opportunistic thieves from taking advantage.
