Cheltenham coroner in court charged with fraud

A Gloucestershire coroner has appeared in court charged with fraud and theft of at least £3.7 million.

Alan Crickmore, from Cheltenham, allegedly abused his position as a solicitor and executor of a dead person's estate.

He's charged with 13 counts of theft, 7 counts of fraud by abuse of position and one count of fraud by false representation.

The 57-year-old has been released on bail to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on June 12 for a committal hearing.
