26 million pounds worth of work to improve the water quality on Weston-super-Mare's beaches has been completed. Wessex Water say they'll now be able to treat sewage to a higher standard before it's released into the estuary.

The Uphill Slipway beach failed a water standard test by the Marine Conservation Society in March.
