Wiltshire Council has estimated that 340 full time equivalent posts will need to be axed to save £4m in the 2013-14 financial year.
The Unitary Authority has reduced its workforce by more than 600 since 2010 which included the scrapping of the Chief Executive post and one Corporate Director position.
A report on the proposed redundancies will be presented to the Council's Cabinet on May 21st.
An informal consultation with staff will commence on May 27th.
Staff will have six weeks from June 17th to register their interest in the voluntary redundancy programme with the final deadline for applications on July 26th.
