Bristolians enjoy their first car free Sunday

Motorists in Bristol found their usual routes closed today as Mayor George Ferguson's experiment with car free Sundays began.

Called "Make Sundays Special" the plan involves closing some city centre roads to traffic once a month to allow pedestrians to roam freely and enjoy some street entertainment. Nigel Turner went along to have a look.
