Former England Ashes winner and Somerset captain says England are the better team

On the eve of England's first Ashes test match against Australia at Trent Bridge, 2005 Ashes hero Marcus Trescothick believes England will come out on top in this series.

"I just think we're stronger, we're more balanced as a team and we're more settled. There has been a lot of trouble within their (Australia) camp in the last two or three weeks."

Trescothick also told ITV News West Country that Somerset team mate and fellow opening batsman, Nick Compton, is "very unlucky" to have been dropped by England for the first Test and that he "would have stuck with him."
