Two people have been rescued from the mud in the River Avon in Bristol this afternoon in an operation which brought part of the city to a standstill.
The Fire & Rescue officer in charge at the scene told ITV News West Country that although both people were brought out safely it had been a very serious incident. Nigel Turner reports
