Police are out in Somerset checking for drivers using handheld mobile phones while at the wheel. Patrols are out on the county's roads, highlighting the dangers, and catching offenders.

Police take action on mobile phone use by drivers

Drivers using their mobiles behind the wheel were told today to stop, before they kill someone. The message came from police who started a special operation to crack down on the habit.

They patrolled in Yeovil and along the A303 and caught a number of drivers.
