Memorial service held for men who died in Chicklade

A memorial has been unveiled to remember seven men who died when their plane crashed in a Wiltshire field 50 years ago. The stone will stand next to the site in Chicklade where the BAC One-Eleven came down shortly after take-off.

Family and campaigners for the memorial gathered in the rain for a church service this afternoon. Charles Howard-Higgins is the Chairman, of the Chicklade Parish Council.
