Second man admits involvement in fire death

A second man has admitted his involvement in the death of a disabled man in Bristol.

Stephen Norley, 24, pleaded guilty to assisting an offender. The charge relates to the death of Bijan Ebrahimi, whose burnt body was found in Whitmore Avenue in the Brislington area of the city.

His plea comes three weeks after co-accused Lee James, also 24, pleaded guilty to the murder of Mr Ebrahimi.

The body of the Iranian national, who was in his 40s, was found about 100 yards from his maisonette in Capgrave Crescent, Brislington, in the early hours of July 14th. He had suffered head injuries and had been set alight.

Three police officers at Avon and Somerset Police were suspended as part of an investigation into his death.
