A van driver has had to be cut out of his vehicle by firefighters after this crash at Farrington Gurney in Somerset this morning.

It happened at White Cross Junction on the A37 when the van ended up between a bus and an HGV making access difficult for emergency crews.

A winch was used to pull the bus forwards, allowing fire crews to access the driver’s side of the van and hydraulic cutting equipment was used to remove the door to rescue the driver.

Police say no-one was seriously injured in the accident.
