Avon and Somerset's Police and Crime Commissioner, Sue Mountstevens, has called for a public meeting into investigations surrounding the horrific death of a Bristol man wrongly branded a paedophile and burned alive by neighbours.

Chief constable admits police failed innocent man

The Chief Constable of Avon and Somerset has said that police failed an innocent man who was attacked and set on fire following rumours he was a paedophile.

Bijan Ebrahimi's body was found in Brislington in July, a 24-year-old has admitted his murder.

Three police officers have been suspended while an IPCC investigation examines how Mr Ebrahimi was dealt with, in the days before his death.
