Avon & Somerset Police are sending police horses to the Somerset Levels to help and reassure residents affected by the floods.
It follows the theft of hundreds of gallons of heating oil from a farm at Moorland.
It has also been arranged that officers will make regular patrols day and night to provide extra reassurance for residents.
