A 27 year old woman is facing prison after admitting leaving her dog to die.
Katy Gammon pleaded guilty to failing to care for her Boxer, Roxy, at Bristol Magistrates Court.
Ms Gammon from Lawrence Weston admitted two charges of causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal and failing to prevent the causing of unnecessary suffering to an animal.
The court heard she left her dog, at her house for 10 weeks before the body was found by police.
Prosecutors told the court when the RSPCA found the dog it was "so decomposed it had to be scraped off the floor".
She's due to be sentenced on April 9 and could face six months in prison or a fine of up to £20,000.
