52-year-old Tracy Johnson claimed she was an agoraphobic and a prisoner in her own home. She was actually working as a tour guide in Argentina and receiving around fifty thousand pounds in benefits.

Ms Johnson was found guilty of falsely claiming £48,000 including cold weather payments while she was living in exotic locations around the world.

During her trial at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court she said she had been "entitled" to have a break on India's sunny Goa coast.

The prosecutor Miss James said, "it was absolute, blatant dishonesty."

Tracey Johnson was found guilty of 13 charges of fraud.
