A residential care home manager from Gloucestershire has been jailed for eight months for stealing money from "extremely vulnerable" clients.
48 year old Rachel Stokes, from Dursley, siphoned money from three residents at the home in Gloucestershire.
She used the money to fund a Bingo gambling habit over a year-long period. Her clients, some so vulnerable they could not speak, did not notice the thefts and they were only uncovered following an audit check by Gloucestershire County Council.
Judge Jamie Tabor QC told Stokes her actions were "the most shocking breach of trust".
Speaking after the hearing, a family member of one of her victims said a tougher sentence should have been imposed.
