Bath scientists could slow Parkinson's disease

Scientists at Bath University have developed a substance that could help slow the progression of Parkinson's disease.

The peptide substance sticks to the protein that causes the disease - stopping it from growing and killing brain cells.

Parkinson's cause tremors, rigidity and slowness of movement. It is a progressive neurological disease that affects around 1 in 500 people in the UK.
