Dorset's Peter Wilson claimed Britain's fourth gold medal of London 2012 today in the men's double trap [Thursday].

The 25-year-old who was born in Dorchester was three points ahead going into the final this afternoon at the Royal Artillery Barracks after three qualifying rounds in the morning.

Wilson, who now lives in Sherborne, missed five shots, including a double, in a tense final shoot-out.

But his opponents failed to take advantage.

The Westcountry shooter finished with a total score of 188 out of 200 shots fired; two clear of Hakan Dahlby from Sweden who claimed silver.
