Plymouth diver Tom Daley is building up for his next appearance at London 2012. The 18 year old will compete in the Men's 10m Platform which gets underway this evening.

A medal in the event will be a tough ask for the current world champion who will face stiff competition from China.

The young start has tweeted ahead of his competition.

Our reporter John Andrews went down to Plymouth College to speak to Tom's teachers and fellow students. They've sent him their best wishes.

The preliminary round begins at 7pm ahead of the semi-final tomorrow morning. The final will take place tomorrow evening.
