Yesterday was a mixed day for Liberal Democrat MP's from the West Country. The ministerial reshuffle means that Yeovil's David Laws is coming back into government - two and a half years after resigning over his expenses.

But North Devon's Nick Harvey lost his job as Armed forces minister as part of a balancing act between Tories and Lib Dems.

Taunton MP Jeremy Browne was yesterday evening confirmed as Minister of State at the Home Office. He's leaving his post in the Foreign Office.

Today David laws steps out for the first time in his role as education minister. This morning, he and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg visited Mulberry School for Girls in east London in London to promote Pupil Premium.
