Torquay United and Plymouth Argyle go head-to-head today [Saturday] in the first Devon derby of the new football season.
A full house is expected at Plainmoor, with Argyle already selling out their ticket allocation of 1,500.
The Gulls will be considered favourites with home advantage. They also did the 'double' over Argyle last season, winning 3-1 at Plainmoor and 2-1 at Home Park.
Torquay are still struggling with injuries. Damon Lathrope, Lloyd Macklin and Saul Halpin remain long-term absentees. But Danny Stevens could be involved after recovering from a thigh strain that has kept him out for five weeks.
Plymouth have no new injury worries, and go into the match boosted by their first win of the season against Northampton last weekend.
Our reporter Jeff Welch has been to both training grounds this week to see how the clubs are preparing for the big match:
This is the first time in eleven seasons that Torquay, Plymouth and Exeter City have all played in the same league so Devon derbies are set to become a regular occurrence over the next few months.
